Yes. Moterra runs in your own private cloud environment so infrastructure costs are billed separately based on actual usage—typically £5-£8 per active user per month.

Think of it like renting a house vs. paying utilities:

Your Moterra subscription (£500-£2,500/month) is the rent—it covers:

  • The platform software and all AI assistants
  • AI model access (Anthropic Claude via Bedrock)
  • Security features and encryption
  • Onboarding, training, and support hours
  • Updates and new features


Infrastructure costs (£5-£8/user/month) are the utilities—they cover:

  • Compute resources to run the platform
  • Storage for your data and indexes
  • Network bandwidth


These infrastructure costs vary based on how many users are active, how much data you’re processing, and query volume. You get full transparency with real-time usage and cost tracking through our dashboard. You can pay your cloud provider directly or route payment through Moterra. We can also help you access volume discounts and apply existing cloud credits to reduce these costs.

Yes. If you only need the AI Data Analyst capability, you can subscribe to it as a standalone service for £400/month. We’ll integrate it directly with your existing databases or data sources without requiring the full Moterra platform.

However, if you’re planning to use multiple AI capabilities (knowledge search, content writing, document comparison), the Team plan (£500/month) gives you access to the core platform, and you can add the Data Analyst on top for £400—or upgrade to Business (£1,300/month) where the Data Analyst is already included along with additional features like multi-site integrations and strategic consultations.

You’ll need to upgrade to the next tier. Team supports up to 50 users, Business up to 200, and Enterprise is unlimited. Upgrading is seamless—your data, configurations, and integrations carry forward automatically. We monitor your usage dashboard with you, so you’ll see adoption trends before hitting limits and can plan the upgrade proactively.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Moterra isn’t the right fit within the first month, we’ll refund your subscription in full—no questions asked. This gives you time to test it with real workflows, train your team, and see actual adoption before fully committing.

We accept multiple payment options:

  • Invoice with bank transfer – We issue an invoice with 15-day payment terms. This works for any plan size and is the standard approach for most businesses.
